Europe
Ivanhoe Cambridge has a long-standing presence in Europe, with investments in high-quality properties and several development projects.
Building momentum in target markets
Ivanhoe Cambridge has been active in Europe since 1997. This long-standing presence has enabled us to gain a solid understanding of its various markets and seize high-return investment opportunities.
Currently, the Company holds interests in shopping centres and projects located in France, Germany, Poland, Scotland, Spain and Russia. These opportunities were created either directly or through Simon Ivanhoe, its affiliate in Europe.
The cornerstone of this expansion was the acquisition in 2005 of a 50% stake in Simon Ivanhoe, a joint venture with U.S.-based Simon Property Group.
Simon Ivanhoe is a full-service developer, manager and owner of retail properties in Europe. It currently owns interests in retail properties in France and Poland, including Eastern Europe’s largest shopping centre, Arkadia, located in Warsaw.

The Bay 1 Loisirs centre is part of a large project launched in December 2004 to revitalize Torcy’s downtown core. Strategically located near major access roads, Bay 1 (adjacent to Bay 2) has become a regional destination.
Recreation seekers flock to Bay 1 Loisirs, which offers a 16-screen movie theatre, a bowling alley and numerous restaurants, many with outdoor terraces. Bay 1also features various shops, a car centre and a hotel residence.
Bay 1 Loisirs is wholly-owned and managed by Simon Ivanhoe, a jointly held European subsidiary of Ivanhoe Cambridge and Simon Property Group.
